Inside A 2004 Ford Explorer Engine Failure Denver Greenwood Village

Good morning. I’m Saul Reisman here at Saul’s Automotive, and today we are going to talk about the most common brand of vehicle that comes in for service, Ford Motorcraft Corporation, along with the most common types of repairs we see for them.

Now, a lot of these owners have been avoiding their oil changes and avoiding basic services, and that’s a big no-no with a basic, inexpensive vehicle. They often have much lighter tolerances for a lack of oil change intervals. In this case, this engine did not see an oil change for over 12,000 miles. It was completely sludged, and eventually came to a grinding half. Literally seized completely and was unable to rotate. We’re here today because we’re replacing the motor in this Greenwood Village vehicle, so I’m standing here in the engine bay of where this four-liter, dual overhead cam V-6 would typically reside. We’ve got the engine sittin’ out over to the side that we’ll show you in just a minute.

But the thing we really want to stress here is if you don’t want us to be standing inside your engine bay, keep up on your basic maintenance, stop in for regular service intervals and you won’t be looking at these types of repairs. At the same time, if you do end up here for these types of repairs, we offer a three-year, 100,000-mile nationwide coverage on all motor, transmission and drivetrain components. Additionally, we provide rental reimbursement coverage, towing assistance and roadside assistance in the event of any kind of failures you might see.

If you’ve got concerns about your Denver Ford, where you’ve had a failure and would like to see how competitive we can be, please give us a call. 303-919-7769. We are your true dealer alternative for powertrain re-powers.
