How cross-branding with Acura vehicle parts can save you money in Denver

Hi there. I’m Saul Reisman here at Saul’s Automotive. Another often-overlooked vehicle that we see here in the United States as an extremely popular vehicle that never made it to other destinations is the Acura nameplate.

While Honda has produced JDM or Japanese domestic market motor vehicles since the ‘70s, starting with actual cars in the mid-‘80s and then producing them all over the world to 180-plus countries, the Acura nameplate has only ever been sold in the United States of America as a luxury brand.

While the vehicles themselves are the same counterparts as their Honda cross-line crossbreeds, using the same motors, transmissions, and frames, they have often extrapolated many more luxury components to the vehicle, many more options of interior and passenger accouterments and a lot of the creature comforts that we like to call home.

However, this may mean that your Acura vehicle sees part replacements that are more expensive than normal. You may go in for service and be told that a certain Denver vehicle component costs three times as much as what it does on the Honda counterpart, and while there are some situations while this is true and the parts do differ, there are many situations where the parts are exactly the same.

We partner with the Hollander Exchange international parts market, so that we can reference all motor vehicles for all parts across all brands. That way, we can look and see if the lower motor resistor for your Bentley Continental GT matches the same one as a Volkswagen Jetta or if that oil filter in your Gallardo actually matches the Passat that we service daily. More often than not, these are the same components.

If you have an Acura vehicle and you’re looking to save a few dollars on repairs versus the luxury nameplate costs that comes with that dealership services, please give us a call here at Saul’s Automotive. We would be happy to take a look at it and show you how cross-branding can save you money on your car. We can be reached seven days a week at 303-919-7769.
